ANNOUNCEMENTS

April 4th Parent Education “Hidden in Plain Sight"

The Hidden in Plain Sight immersive experience helps parents/guardians spot signs of at-risk behaviors, using an interactive display of a teenager's bedroom. Casual substance use is growing more prevalent among our SnoValley teens

After walking through the display, participants will learn more about adolescent development, risk and protective factors, and common signs of substance use provided by community prevention professionals. This exhibit is designed to educate and empower parents/guardians to communicate with their children about at-risk behaviors, expectations and more.  A strong parent/guardian-teen relationship and clear consistent communication is one of the most effective protective factors to prevent youth substance use. Teacher Appreciation Week May 8th - 12th

The Staff Appreciation Committee is looking for two people to assist with the May Staff Appreciation Week. Email Dawn Harper if you are interested.

Senior Car Parade and Grad Night hosted by PTSA

The planning is underway for your new favorite tradition, the Senior Car Parade, as well as our safe and fun Grad Night celebration.  It does cost $thousands to put on these events (some costs are police support, portable outhouses, staging area) If you would like to donate specifically to the Senior Fund, all contributions go directly to PTSA-hosted Senior activities & events!

Teachers and Staff thank you

for making the Valentine's staff appreciation event such a huge success. The library was PACKED with sweet treats! The staff of MSHS was thrilled and very appreciative. Your amazing baked goods and all contributions on Feb. 10th mean so much to them. (if you missed out on this teacher appreciation event, you can still show your love by purchasing an item from the Teachers Wishlist)

Do you want to be involved behind the scenes for your student?

Consider the PTSA's needs next school year for committee chairs and board members. All positions will be open as we say goodbye to several of our current leadership. Teacher Appreciation, Grad Night, C.A.R.E. Closet, Reflections Art Program, and Parent Education are just some areas in which you could contribute. If you would like to get involved, let us know! Members are always welcome to shadow current board members and chairpersons.

The Application for State PTA Scholarships is now closed.

Thank you to all of our applicants!

Scholarships award notices will be sent by April 30th
